Epic Games and Google struck terms for a new class of apps called 'metaverse browsers', signaling a legal/commercial framework around future app-store ecosystem changes.

Google is slashing Play Store fees to 20% for in‑app purchases and 10% for subscriptions, with Apps Experience and Games Level Up offering up to about 5% additional savings, amid regulatory scrutiny and a redacted metaverse browsers category.
